First of all, hello there. This is my first post and I'm glad to be here making part of this community.
Well, let me explain my problem, yesterday I bought Windows 8 and then after install it I realized that something is very wrong, it took about 2~4 minutes for booting the OS. Then I was searching answers for why my boot is so slow while my friends are take about only 6~10 seconds.
After I google, I saw other people with the SAME problem and SATA controller, they solved that updating the AsMedia SATA Controller.
The thing is, I found the firmwares here ( http://www.station-drivers.com/page/asmedia.htm ) but I can't figure out how to update it!
I already made a bootable USB, I throwed everything inside and tried commands as '106spi.exe -u ahci95A1.rom' but everytime shows the same error message:
The question is: Is it possible do update the firmware or only with modded BIOS?
I have a RIVE and using the last BIOS (3010)
Thank you in advance.
PS. Sorry for my english, I'm from Brazil.
